Welcome to FITUR Lingua The future in language tourism. Since its creation in 2021, FITUR Lingua has positioned itself as a key meeting point for professionals, educational institutions and companies interested in language tourism. The 2025 edition, under the slogan "Language as a tourism asset: challenges and trends", will offer a full agenda of activities, debates and networking opportunities designed to address the challenges and opportunities of the sector. Discover FITUR Lingua 2026, the space specialising in language tourism designed in collaboration with FEDELE (Spanish Federation of Schools of Spanish as a Foreign Language), focusing on the potential of language as a tourist attraction, combining learning, culture and economic development. Activity Agenda FITUR Lingua 2025 will be held on Wednesday 22 January from 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and will be structured into four thematic blocks covering essential aspects of language tourism: Sector Fundamentals: Research and database to understand the dynamics and impact of language tourism. From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with the participation of public universities and other entities dedicated to the study of language tourism. Beyond Spanish: International success stories of language tourism in other languages such as English, French or German. From 11:30 to 12:15 with the participation of other federations dedicated to language tourism in other countries and languages. Challenges of Language Tourism: How to transform current challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation. From 12:45 to 13:45 with the participation of international teachers' associations, TURESPAÑA and FEDELE. Towards an Institutional Strategy: The role of public policies and international collaboration in the development of the sector. From 13:45 to 14:30 with the participation of the Instituto Cervantes, ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, the Dirección General del Español en El Mundo and FECEI. In addition, you will have access to a networking area, designed to facilitate meetings, presentations and agreements between the main players in language tourism. Why attend the fair? Programme of activities Fundamentos del Sector: Investigación y Base de Datos para el Turismo Idiomático Se centra en la importancia de la investigación sólida y la recopilación de datos para comprender las dinámicas y tendencias del turismo idiomático. Se abordará la falta de bases de datos confiables y los estudios necesarios para analizar el perfil del turista idiomático, la demanda de destinos, y el impacto económico y cultural. Con la participación del Gobierno de La Rioja, el Ayuntamiento de Logroño y la Fundación de San Millán de la Cogolla, presentaremos la IV Semana del Español, el principal evento en materia de turismo idiomático en España que congrega a centenares de profesionales tanto oferta como demanda en un enclave español. FITUR Lingua es el espacio escogido para la presentación oficial del estudio económico sobre los estudiantes internacionales en España donde se presentan también datos de turismo idiomático. Es estudio es desarrollado por Spain Education Programs, ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones y EDUESPAÑA. Más Allá del Español: Casos de Éxito en Turismo Idiomático de Otros Idiomas  Está dedicado a explorar el turismo idiomático de idiomas como el francés, alemán o inglés. La idea es mostrar ejemplos de destinos que han consolidado programas educativos para atraer estudiantes de idiomas distintos al español, y analizar sus prácticas exitosas para el crecimiento del sector. Desafíos del Turismo Idiomático: Transformando Retos en Oportunidades de Crecimiento  Examina los desafíos principales del turismo idiomático, como la estacionalidad, la competencia entre destinos, y la adaptación a nuevas demandas post-COVID. El enfoque estará en cómo estos retos pueden convertirse en oportunidades de innovación, diversificación de productos, y creación de alianzas. Oportunidades de negocio en los retos que se nos presentan. A través de una conversación con la Dirección General del Español en el Mundo, dependiente del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, veremos los diferentes proyectos que se están llevando a cabo a nivel global para posicionar el español como una herramienta estratégica para el crecimiento de nuestro país tanto a nivel turístico como social.
